Boats are a constant fascination for me. I like their shapes, their lazy list between tides, the boundless transformation of the shapes and colours in their reflections which float, bob and effervesce on the surrounding waters.

‘Breakthrough’ - Norfolk Broads.
My love of reflections and figures come together in this series of monotone dance paintings inspired by a ballet seen on the TV (unfortunately I cannot remember which one) which had very minimal staging and highly polished floors giving a mirror image of the poses struck by the dancers.
