Inevitably Shadow Patterns got me looking at other shadows a few of which were inspired by a sunny weekend at Swanage jazz festival. Two were prompted by shadows seen through the canvas walls of the music marquee whilst Shadows on a Beach - a series of four paintings - came about when leaning on the railings, the sun beating down and sending our shadows across the sand and into the gently lapping sea.
